The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra

The Law of Pure Potentiality
Take time to be silent, to just BE. Meditate for 30 minutes twice a day. Silently witness the intelligence within every living thing. Practice non-judgment. We have unlimited pure potentiality all around us. We need to be open and ready do not lock you into one thing. The universe is gives us the ability to manifest and do what we like we just have to know how to get it. There is unlimited pure potential.
The Law of Giving and Receiving
Today bring whoever you encounter a gift: a compliment or flower. Gratefully receive gifts. Keeps wealth circulating by giving and receiving care, affection, appreciation and love? We have to have the ability to receive. When a person gives us something and we say no that is creating an imbalance. It is important to give every day: give thanks, gratitude, support, love freedom, what you can afford, time.  All that you give you will receive back bigger and better than ever.
The Law of Karma
Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind. Choosing actions that bring happiness and success to others ensures the flow of happiness and success to you. Everything you do has choices and generates that energy that will be returned to you. Before you do something .you can check to see if it is the highest and good for you and all. You will know if it is good if you feel good. If it feels like a knot in your belly after a choice that may not have been the highest and best. But each choice is a learning experience

The Law of Least Effort
Accept people, situations, and events as they occur. Take responsibility for your situation and for all events seen as problems. Relinquish the need to defend your point of view. This one goes ageist what we have learned set a goal and work hard, spend a lot of time, you need work hard to get things...Wrong. The universe and nature finds the path of least resistance which is the least effort. We need to work smart and listen to the signs that the universe is giving us that are the path of least effort. When in a chaos do not get caught up in it and let it get to you take time and breath. Then just flow in the situation the outcome will be turn out better then you can imagine

The Law of Intention and Desire
Inherent in every intention and desire is the mechanics for its fulfillment. Make a list of desires. Trust that when things don’t seem to go your way, there is a reason. Set you intentions and desires and then let them be. You may really want one outcome and think that is the best but if it does not happen that is because there is something better for you. If you force it you may get it but you will not be happy or be what you thought it was.  Set your intentions and desires for the highest and best for you.
The Law of Detachment
Allow yourself and others the freedom to be who they are. Do not force solutions—allow solutions to spontaneously emerge. Uncertainty is essential, and your path to freedom. This is also in the same vain as the law of least effort where you set your intentions and desires and the let them be.  Do not force it and keep working at it you will be missing the real opportunities for that intention.  Also as the law of intentions and desired do not be attached to one outcome becomes that may not be in the highest and best for you. So you will get something better if you pay attention to the signs.
The Law of Dharma
Seek your higher Self. Discover your unique talents. Ask yourself how you are best suited to serve humanity. Using your unique talents and serving others brings unlimited bliss and abundance. When you live your life that everything you do is for the highest and best for you and all. You will be the happiest and all of the other laws are working for you. You know you are in this when you do little efforts and accomplish many things.

I use the seven laws  and it has change my life. I am living a happier more fulfilled life . I still have to work  on using them  sometimes I get stuck back in my old habits the seven laws help break that.

Lotto Ticket Dare

Do you notice there is an epidemic of selfishness in this world? I noticed this holiday season that stores were open at terrible hours. Great for customers and for the stores to make extra money, but horrible for the employees who now have to work on Christmas or Easter or whatever holiday it happens to be. All for the store to make that Almighty buck. Well it sucks. So let's bring some "Holiday Cheer" to these poor suckers that get stuck working on holidays.

I dare you to:

Walk into a gas station on "said holiday." Order $50 of lotto tickets. Ask the clerks to help you pick out the "best" ones. Pay for them. Then hand them to the clerks, tell them to split them up and have a good night. Walk out leaving the clerks with the lotto tickets. Merry freakin Christmas to you! You are not a selfish bastard! Thank you for making someone's night a better one.

Put Away Your Facebook Balls Please

Are you one of these people? I hope not. You know, the kind of people who are nice to everyone's faces but go onto Facebook and cut down every human being they can in the name of "freedom of speech, liberty or religion?"  If you are, take off your Facebook balls now and try doing something that will help people and not hurt them! Post something nice that has nothing to do with offending someone.

Religion: Using religion to harm, put down or judge something is against what most religions stand for. Jesus made it clear we are NOT to judge each other. Other religions make it clear we are to LOVE our fellow man. There is not a verse anywhere that says, sit back, have a beer and make posts that will be sure to offend someone on Facebook, and use the name of your favorite religious figure to prove, "you are right," in your ignorant beliefs.

Politics: OK post that you like someone or that you don't, fine. Yes, WE KNOW, you have the right to freedom of speech. Let it end there! Don't post that Obama is the anti-
Christ every single day. Don't post stuff that you want to be true just because you don't like a certain politician or because someone isn't the same party as you. Who cares, we are all different, we have our own reasons for being what party we are. I don't care what party you are, I don't feel the need to rip down your parties endlessly and then when someone posts one post who they like who happens to NOT be who YOU like,  on their OWN wall, you go over there and rip them a new one. They have the right to like who they do without the fear of being ripped down by YOU, the political bully.

Anti-Gay or Racists: This one pisses me off the most. Especially when religion is used to make it ok. It is never ok. Don't post gay or racist jokes, "in the  name of humor," and then act all passive aggressive when someone gets hurt by it. They are rude, insensitive and really really ignorant. Is that how you want people to perceive you. Trust me, the only people finding it funny are the bullies of internet land who just want to hurt people. Is that who you want to be? Whether you like it or not, gay people were born gay, black people were born black, white people born white, etc... There is no amount of Bible verses or "freedom of speech" pleas that will make it ok to post something that will hurt somebody. Stop using those as excuses for your need to bully people while sitting on your couch behind closed doors.

Freedom of Speech: I don't think when we were given freedom of speech it was meant that you could go attack people and hurt them without consequence. Stop using this as an excuse to just judge people and post it publicly to get yourself the attention you apparently need. It is one thing to have an opinion, as ignorant as it may be...but to post something you know will hurt someone is just being cruel. End of story. Stop it, go online and post something nice today.

Grow up.. Take in a deep breath and think about who you want to be. Think about people you admire in the world. Think about how you could make the world a better place. The only thing that matters in this world is LOVE. So do something today to add LOVE into the universe. Stop yourself from saying that hurtful thing you are about to say. Take off your Facebook balls and grow some real ones. Dont' follow bad examples, that is too easy. Don't be a weak bastard. Break old habits...start new ones..

Schultz Bros

My father, grandpa and uncle all worked at Schultz Bros their whole life. I'm not sure of the whole history, if we were part owners, or what. But I grew up with my grandpa working there as the "Boss." And my dad running and opening new warehouses in different states. And my Uncle also working at the warehouses.

As a child I have memories of running around the warehouse and my dad letting me pick out a candy bar from the huge boxes or candy stacked up. It was so exciting! I also remember visiting, I believe it was the Delavan store. Memories of little dime store toys and rows of that old fashioned candy, oh and  parrot perched atop of the counter where you checked out, come to mind.

When I was little I remember living for awhile in Delavan, Wi. Also for a while in Iowa and eventually most of my life my dad worked at the Lake Zurich, Il warehouse for Schultz Bros. If anyone has any pictures or info, please send it to me here. You can post it in the comments section.

When I moved to back to Delavan many years later as an adult, I was driving down the street and new store owners were taking down the old "Schultz Bros" sign from the storefront. I wish I wasn't shy. I would of pulled over and asked if I could have it. But I didn't and I often wondered what happened to that sign, Is it in storage? Thrown away?

Facts I do know about Schultz Bros.

* Schultz Bros was considered a 5 and 10 store.

* Robert Schultz opened the first little store in 1902 in Appleton, Wi.

* The brother of Robert,  Louis Schultz, opened a second store in Green Bay in 1903, and a third one in 1904.

* Two other brothers, Charles and Gustave, eventually joined in the family business.

* Schultz Bros became a chain of 76 variety stores located in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The 1980's saw the end of this chain when Schultz filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1988.

Here are some pictures I found online of Schultz Bros.

I found this following article online and am trying to figure out if Piggly Wiggly was originally Schultz Bros. It appears to be but the dates don't match up. If you have any details on this please let me know.

Eventually Schultz Bros turned into ...

The Company grew from its modest beginnings as “The Schultz Brothers Company” in 1911 throughout that decade and by 1920, the name was changed to “Schultz Brothers Company Wholesale Grocers.”
The Company’s growth continued so that in 1946 the Company broadened its grocery distribution services to include fresh produce and frozen foods. With a new facility, along with new produce and frozen food departments, the Company was able to offer “Buy Low,” the voluntary retail group it was servicing, a greater selection of food products... Ways to say Thank You

Ways to say
The greatest way of saying "Thank You" may not be actually saying it, but by doing something to reciprocate the kindness that someone has given you. Show your thanks through your actions, whether it is a specific person or just a way of thanking the universe for something nice that has happened to you.

1. Leave a note somewhere, hidden for someone to find one day, that has done something for you that you are grateful for.

2. Send a "Thank you" card to someone, who did something for you a long time ago to let them know you still remember.

3. Get a gift card to somewhere and randomly hand it to someone you don't know. Just a way of thanking the universe for unexpected "gifts that you might have received."

4. Give someone you haven't talked to in a long time a phone call. Perhaps a grandmother, a long lost aunt, an old high school friends, have some fun reminiscing but the "good old days."

5. Stop by the local nursing home and volunteer to help with a meal or activity.

6. Help volunteer at the local homeless shelter.

7. Call a  local church and see if there if there is anyone who will be alone on the holiday or may need some help, with rides to a doctor appointment, small errands or just a short visit to cheer them up.

8. Use social media to give thanks. Go comment on a blog post one of your friends has done, let her know you actually read and care about her posts. Say something nice on someone's facebook wall or send them a nice  Tweet.

9. Thank yourself. Let your self have some "you" time for all that you have done throughout the year. Remember you are just as important as everyone else.

10. Acknowledge the little daily things that are mostly taken for granted. Thank your partner for "shoveling the driveway, or picking up the kids from football."

11. Inspire others. Write what you are grateful for today on your Facebook status. Get a trend going among your friends that sends out positive energy.

12. Plant a plant. Start a plant that you can move outside and give back to nature. Add some beauty and life to your outdoors setting and let nature know how appreciative you are of it.

13. Call your parents or a family member, and reminisce about a  good time you had together or a favor they once did you.

14. Just take in a moment, and appreciate, meditate and pray to give thanks. Just for one moment stop doing what you are doing, and soak in the moment of life you were given. And say, "Thank you."

WTF is Planking?

WTF is Planking?

According to Wiki: Planking is an activity consisting of lying face down, sometimes in an unusual or incongruous location. Both hands must touch the sides of the body.  Some players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.  The term planking refers to mimicking a wooden plank.

So who does this? And why?

Read on...or I should say look on.
