How to Stop Hair from Graying Naturally



Hair turns gray is because as we get older we lack melanin, which is what gives your hair its color. Here are some tips on keeping your natural color longer.

  • Reduce Stress- Being under constant stress increases graying.
  • Quit Smoking, increasing circulation will lessen grays.
  • Hydrate! Lack of moisture and hydration prevents nutrients from reaching hair follicles, which makes them turn gray.
  • Add Copper to your diet. Take a multi-vitamin or add in foods that are rich in copper such as turnips, green veggies, pineapple, yams, spinach, and most meats.
  • Bump up your Iodine with foods such as carrots and spinach.
  • Higher you protein. Healthy hair and skin needs protein.
  • A vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to premature graying.
